He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Bashor and Helene Bashor (Morgan); and his brothers, Darrell Bashor and Duane Bashor. He is survived by: his children, Douglas Bashor II (Mashonna) of Gracey, KY and Shannon Stiger (Ortez) of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister Darlene Jones of Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren, Samuel T. McFarland, DéVante L. McFarland (Alissa), Jaleigha M. McFarland, Serenity L. Stiger, Azaria L. Stiger, Tanazja Stiger and Xander U. Bashor.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West (5817 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240).
