She was predeceased by: her former husband Famous Colbert Choate; her husband James W. Franklin; and her parents, Roscoe Brooks and Mamie Brooks. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Choate-Heflin and James Eric Choate (Vicki); her grandchildren, Amanda Choate Kosnitch (Will) and James Brandon Choate (Melissa); and her sister Elaine Hinckle.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West (5817 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240).
