He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosie Meriwether and Charles Meriwether Sr.; and his brothers, Charles Meriwether Jr. and John Meriwether. He is survived by: his wife Minnie Meriwether; his sons, Jeremy Meriwether (Carrie Wells) and Brooks Meriwether; his siblings, Willa Fay Buckner (Austin), Patricia A. Jackson and Rev. Randy Meriwether (Barbara); his sisters-in-law, Mary Meriwether and Velma Meriwether; and his grandchildren, Jailen L. Meriwether, Kerrigan A. Meriwether and Camryn J. Meriwether.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Vernon Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West (5817 Fort Campbell Blvd, Hopkinsville, KY 42240).
