He was predeceased by: his former wife Pauline; his parents, Percy Swank and Ella Swank; and his siblings, Harold Swank, Merrill Swank, Cecil Swank, Glendora Swank and Annabelle Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Melita; his daughter Beverly Tromm; his stepdaughter Ann Froman; his son John Percy Swank; his stepson Virgil Hardin; and his brother Richard Swank. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home (7710 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40258). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160).
