He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thompson and Emma Worthington Thompson; his son Travis Thomspon; his close friend Darlene Tipton Mauldin; and his siblings, Mitchell, Ed Thompson and Carolyn Thompson.

He is survived by: his children, April Thomspon, Frankie Thompson and Eddie Thomspon; the mother of his children Barbara Thompson of Indiana; his sisters, Brenda Gipson and Gail Pease; his stepson Marcus Brown (Ruby) of Indiana; and his grandchildren, Destiny Thompson, Autumn Culver, Raymond Green, Isaiah Thompson, Emily Thompson, Frank Thompson, Isaiah Hubbird, Monique Hubbird, Brandon Hubbird, Kaleb Brown and Leia Thompson. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
