With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Caleen M. Slaven of Hyden, Kentucky, who passed away on February 3, 2026 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Caleen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Caleen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Phillip W. Slaven. She is survived by: her daughters, Charlotte Slaven, Meredith Barnes and Jackie Slaven; and her brothers, Zane Annis and Weldon Reynolds. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
