He was predeceased by : his parents, John M. Horton and Opha Swafford Horton; his wife Gracie Finley Horton; his son Jonathan Jeffrey Horton; and his siblings, Juanita Faye Franks, Robert Ray Horton, Charles Glay Horton and William Joseph Horton.
He is survived by : his son Shawn Horton (Ashley); his grandchildren, Emma, Aleeah, John, Willow and Breann Simmons (Derek); his great grandchild Nathan; his granddaughter Miranda Williams; his great grandchildren, Dakota and Collyn; his close friend Georgia Hazelwood; and also, Melinda Horton, Mallory and Jayden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
