He was predeceased by: his parents, Bige Morgan and Florence Lewis; his sisters, Betty Jean Roberts, Colleen Morgan and Christine Morris; and his grandson Morgan Allen Coulter.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Morgan; his children, Samuel Morgan (Janie), Lynn Morgan, Rebecca Morgan and Kathryn Morgan (Leon Hollon Jr.); his grandchildren, Chase, Emily, Olivia, Nathan and Madeline; and his great grandchildren, Cameron and Carter.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Homes (155 Hickory St, Hyden, KY 41749). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
