It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ramey (Hyden, Kentucky), who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Ramey to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her mother Nellie Young Napier; her son Jerry Ramey; her grandson Michael Wisdom; and her sisters, Mary Ann Pearcy and Jean Gross.

She is survived by : her husband Wayne Ramey; her children, Larry Jeffers (Rita) of Hyden, KY, Wayne "Bo" Ramey (Toye) of Brandenburg, KY, John Ramey of Hyden, KY, Shellean Green (Paul) of Grayson, KY, Debbie Wisdom of Hyden, KY, Tammy Feltner and Mike of Hyden, KY.; her grandchildren, Joey Jeffers (Gwen Franza), Tyler Ramey, Owen Green, Courtney Morgan, Nick Feltner, Lauren Green, Ethan Feltner and Karley Morgan; and her great grandchildren, Carter Ramey and Caden Ramey.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Homes (155 Hickory St, Hyden, KY 41749). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.

At the request of Shirley Ramey's family, donation may be made to the Thousandsticks United Methodist Church of any other church of you desire.
