She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Starnes; her daughter Vickie Unthank; her son-in-law James Whalen; her parents, Troy Bush and Anna Bush; and her brother Gearold Bush.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Starnes (Jennifer), Saundra Whalen, Douglas Starnes (Tonya) and Rebecca Kendall (Rockie); and her brother Clyde Bush. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home (11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Independence Cemetery (5358 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Community Family Church or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
