He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Brueggemann and Rita Brueggemann; his brother Larry; and his grandson Jiuseppe Jahnsen. He is survived by: his children, Bavarian, Bernadette, Jacinta, Catherine, Dominic, Nicholas, Mary, Gabriel, Jerome, Ignatius, Regina, Stanislaus, Joachim, Mercedes, Victoria, Diego and Carmelita; his wife Maria; and his siblings, Robert, Paul, John and Mary. He is also survived by his wife, siblings, and all his children.
