He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. "Boots" Jackson and Esther Jackson McIntyre; his stepfather William "Bill" McIntyre; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Jackson (Sandy Sue), Mary Presnell and Timothy Jackson.

He is survived by: his daughter Kaylynn Cooper (Kevin); his stepson Steven Hensley (Tarin); his wife Sherry Jackson; his siblings, Patricia Schalck, Jerry Jackson, Margie Curran, James Jackson (Sheila), Randy Presnell, Sherri Moffett (Mike), Sandy Kay Lubben (Greg) and Leo McIntyre; and his grandchildren, Maybalee Miller "Ironweed", Luca Cooper "Cocklebur", Esther Cooper "Multifloral Rose" and Cooper.
