He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Kolkmeier and Alma Kolkmeier; his siblings, James Kolkmeier, Lawrence Kolkmeier, Ruth Marie and Mary Kay Sarge; and his grandson Samuel.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Sue Kolkmeier; his children, Paul J. Kolkmeier, Jr., Carol Stowe (Jeff), Kim Gelofsack (Jeff), Maggie Webb (Brian) and Krista Kolkmeier (Joe Yates); and his brother Raymond Kolkmeier (Sue). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
