She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Rawls (Naomi) and Ruby Rawls; her husband Herbie R. Elbert; her siblings, James, Eddie Rawls and Alice Young; and her stepbrothers, James Daniel and Lloyd Daniel.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Bach (Joe), Shirley Thornberry and Jeff Elbert (Julie); her sisters, Martha Messingschlager and Mary Boyle; her sister-in-law Alice Rawls; her grandchildren, Tara Leen (Tony), Adam Bach (Kristen), Chad Bach (Cameo), Keith Placke (Denise), Chris Meyer (Ashley), Mekenzie Ziegler (Rob), Jacob Elbert (Maddie) and Alec Elbert; and her stepgrandchildren, Nick Day (Ashley), Jessica Fitzwater and Justin Meranda. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
