He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry McCoy and Wilma Pauline Hallmark (Ash); and his brother Michael McCoy. He is survived by: his wife Carol McCoy (Dilling) of Inez, KY; his children, Olivia Lafferty (Brad) of Tomahawk, KY, John David McCoy (Jill) of Wichita, KS and Logan David McCoy of Wichita, KS; his siblings, Mark Bloomfield, Deborah Fackler and Penny Heydinger; his grandchildren, Easton Bradley Lafferty, Logan Edward Ray Brown, Jozlynn Christina McCoy, Justin John McCoy, Taryn Marie Knedgen, Brooklyn Marie McCoy and Zaydan Thomas McCoy; and his great grandchild Blakely Knedgen.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Crum Funeral Home (498 New Rte 3, Inez, KY 41224).
