He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Evan and Mollie Sparks Maness; his son Jackie Dewayne Maness; and his siblings, Matilda Richardson, Woodrow Dixon, Jr., James Maness and Michael Wayne "Bimbo" Maness.

He is survived by : his significant other Wanda Gilbert Maness; and his grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Lay (Austin), Brandon Michael McKinney (Sabrina), Hallie Maness and Shelby Maness.
