He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert "Preacher" Arvin and Lyda Walton Arvin; his wife Mary Evelyn Bishop Arvin; and his brothers, Dwight Arvin and Buddy Gene Arvin.

He is survived by: his daughters, Dana Arvin (Ronnie Fike) and Estill Co; and his great grandchildren, Kyler Arvin, McKyree Arvin, Makynslie Arvin, James Harrison Combs, Lily Kate O'Hair and Brysen Levi Combs.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Crooked Creek School House Restoration Fund at the Citizens Guaranty Bank.
