He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Noland Abshear; his children, Kim Dunn-Townsend (Jeff), Tiffany Scarborough (Lee) and Kenneth; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Abshear (Shaun Blackwell), Dustin Abshear (Sarah), Kenton Abshear (Lily Halcomb), Noland Scarborough, Embry Scarborough, Holli Reynolds (Trent), Cameron Townsend and McKayla Townsend; his brother Raymond Abshear (Dereeda); and his pets, Teddy "Papaw' of Papaw's Little Buddy and Millie "Papaw' of Papaw's Breakfast Companion.
