He was predeceased by: his parents, Harve Whitaker and Mattie Cornett Whitaker; and his siblings, Shirley, Patsy, Phyllis, Flossie, Billy Ray and Dennis.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Smith Whitaker; his sons, Harry Whitaker Jr. of Jackson, Letcher Whitaker (Billie) of Jackson, Sidney Whitaker of Jackson and Harve Whitaker (Stephanie) of Jackson; his grandchildren, Laura Whitaker, Matthew Jenkins, Luke Whitaker and Audrey Whitaker; and his siblings, Sandy Miles (Kevin), Larue Combs, Donald Whitaker, Jerry Whitaker and Robert Sword. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends left.
