He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Banks Cope; and his son James Robert Cope. He is survived by: his parents, James Ray Cope of Ashland and Rhonda Kay Sizemore Peters of Booneville; his children, Joslyn Brook of Booneville, Kentucky and Wesley Blaine Cope of Booneville, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Piper Jordan Kate Taylor, Lincoln Andrew Mainous and Cameron James Mainous. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cope Cemetery Cope Cemetery.
