He is survived by : his sister Wilma Combs; his nephew Adam Combs; his grandchildren, Cameron Harris and Marley Gross; his sons-in-law, James Coomer and Carles Jones; his siblings-in-law, Hickey Manns and Faye Smith; his daughters, Debbie Smith Jones of Jackson, KY. and Chrystal Rife (Shannon) of Jackson, KY.; his stepdaughter Angie Marshall (John); his siblings, Logan Smith, Paul Smith (Valarie), Winfred Smith (Beverly) of Jackson, KY, Charlie Smith (Lois) of Salyersville, KY, Mike Smith of Winchester, KY., Linda Bailey of Jackson, KY and Frankie Leiss (Eric) of Missouri; and his grandchildren, Dustin Coomer, Aubry Gibson (Zach), Tyson Gross and Tory Baker (Jagger). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many other friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, March 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel (15 Deaton Ln, Jackson, KY 41339). Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
