She was predeceased by: her husband James W. Hester, Sr.; her parents, Talton Lee Baskett and Maude Reese Baskett; and her siblings, Ralph E. Baskett and Talton L. Baskett, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Saundra Hester Palmer (Sandy) and James W. Hester, II; and her grandchildren, Doug Palmer (Dana), Tracey Palmer French (Ed), Tammy Palmer Mallory (Bryan), Heather Palmer, Zachary Hester and Michael Hester. She is also survived by 10 great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
