He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Johnson of Jeffersonville, KY; his children, Byron Johnson (Theresa) of Jackson, KY, Travis Johnson (Ashley) of Jackson, KY, Dakota Johnson (Tiffany) of Lexington, KY and Wanda Nicole Johnson of Jackson, KY; his siblings, Cecil Johnson (Phyllis) of Jackson, KY, Walter Johnson of Jackson, KY, Ed Johnson of Jackson, KY, Lee Johnson (Reda) of Jackson, KY, Becky Fugate of Jackson, KY, Carolyn Sue Fugate (Bob) of Jackson, KY, Julia Hall of Jackson, KY and Maxine Parks of Jackson, KY; and his great grandchild Daya Curtis. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Sterling. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Martin Cemetery.
