He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirby Cox and Gay Nell Peyton Cox; his brother Keith Cox; and his mother-in-law Pauline Lawson Tester. He is survived by: his wife Shannon Tester Cox; his daughter Trisha Haddix; his granddaughter Delainey Haddix of Jeffersonville, KY.; and his siblings, Noretta (Gary Brown), Carlene Brown, Rhonda Birchfield of Frenchburg, KY, Sheila (Johnny Cornett), Jimmy (Kathy Cox) and Scotty (Linda Cox).
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the Menifee Home For Funerals (P. O. Box 98 847 Highway 36, Frenchburg, KY 40322). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
