He is survived by: his children, Derick Adkins (Felecia) of Owingsville, Kentucky, Alisha Shimko (George) of Jeffersonville and Melissa Elam of West Liberty, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Cassie Adkins, Ryker Adkins, Faith Foley, Lilly Foley, Devyn Barker and Noah Wilder; the mother of his children Deloris Burks; and his brothers, Hager Adkins of West Liberty and Russell Adkins of Flemingsburg, Kentucky.. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
