He is survived by: his wife Drema McCoy Cooper of Jeffersonville, KY; his children, Jennifer Wright (Keith) of Nashville, TN and Robby Cooper (Alisha) of Mt. Sterling, KY; his grandchildren, Alexis Wright, Tyler Cooper, Connor Cooper and Kyson Cooper; and his siblings, Linda Kolb, Joseph Cooper Jr. (Debbie) and Johnathan Cooper.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jeffersonville Assembly of God (7220 Main St, Jeffersonville, KY 40337). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Mountain View Memory Gardens (110 Mountain View Dr, Huddy, KY 41535).
