She was predeceased by : her parents, Ivay Johnson and Emma Johnson; her husband Elbert B. Cox, Sr.; her son Elbert B. "Junior" Cox, Jr.; and her siblings, H. B. Johnson, Cecil Johnson, Melvin Johnson, James Johnson, Oscar Paul Johnson and Clara Lou Brown.

She is survived by : her granddaughters, Haley Elizabeth Cox and Shelby Lynne Cox; her daughter-in-law Judy Cox; her close friend Susie Bradshaw; and also Lonnie Coffman (Michelle Clements).
