William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Lee and Rosanna Higgins; his wife Darlene Thompson Higgins; and his siblings, Elnora Higgins, Lawrence Higgins, Sr., Calvin Higgins, Marjorie Jackson and Rossetta Spillman.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Clay and Greg Higgins; his grandchildren, Greg (Belly), Lindsey Jones and Isiaih Jones; and his sisters, Annis Campbell and Deloris Higginsand. He is also survived by 8 Great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the O. L. Hughes and Sons Mortuary (322 E Third St, Lexington, KY 40508). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
