He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Collins and Mary Hawes Powell; his wife Charlotte Ann Bristow Powell; and his siblings, Dorothy Cathey, Martha Turner, James Powell and Jack Powell of Paducah.
He is survived by: his daughter Joy Powell of Kevil, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jessica Worley of Kevil, Kentucky and Jakob Worley (Lexi) of Kevil, Kentucky; his great grandchildren, Paxton Glenn, Greyson Parker and Evrhett Lee; and his siblings, Mary Alice Brown of Paducah, Shirley Orr of Melber, Kentucky, Larry Powell of Paducah and Bill Powell of Paducah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
