He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty J. Lucas Martin and Leonard S. Martin Sr.; his siblings, Leonard Martin Jr., Tony Martin, Freddy Martin Sr., Carolyn Stobaugh, Lisa Cates and Cheryl Martin; and his nephew Jason Nelson.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Martin; his daughter Laura Hallum; his granddaughter Sierra Knight; his sisters, Becky Nelson and Mary "Mert" Nelson; his son-in-law Eddie Hallum; his pet Barkley; his nephews, Freddy Martin Jr., Scotty Martin, Stephen Stobaugh, David Stobaugh and Jarrod Nelson; and his cousin Phillip Lucas. He is also survived by his step-grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
