With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wanda Downing of Kuttawa, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Balentine and Mary Louise Lovins Balentine; her sisters, Sue McCoy and Doris Keel; and her grandson Lathan Capps.

She is survived by: her husband Johnie Downing of Kuttawa; her sons, Ralph Downing (Melissa) of Smyrna, TN and Michael Downing of Kuttawa; her granddaughter Brittney Downing (Gavin Gusich) of Linn Valley, Kansas; her sons, Andrea Lady of Sanford, FL, Codie Lady of Princeton, KY and Evan Capps of Clarksville, TN; her great grandchild Noble Oliver of Sanford, FL; her granddaughter Brooklyn Capps of Ft. Knox, KY; and her sister Glenda Knight of Murray. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
