He is survived by: his wife Sandi Grimes French; his children, Scott French (Amy), Sue Williams (Tommy) and Bradley French (Lari Anne); his grandchildren, Hannah French (Emmett Kresslein), Shelby Knight (Lane), Harrison French (Anetta) and Lily Williams; his great grandchildren, Sadie and Miley Knight; and his siblings, Mary Jo Malbone (John), Richard French (Gerry), Connie Van Hekken (Craig) and Sara Gumpert (Alvin). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Fern Creek Baptist Church, Youth Camp Fund, in Dave's memory.
