He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Leon Upton Sr. and Clovis McNabb; his sister Bobbie Sue Sauter; and his wife Patricia Upton. He is survived by: his son Jack Upton (Rebecca); his stepsons, Mark Clifford, Bradley Clifford (Sheri) and Heath Clifford (Krista); his sister Donna Jetter (George); and his grandchildren, Jay Upton, Amy Upton, Benjamin Upton, Jessie Nash (James), Joshua Clifford (Hannah), Kendall Stouder (Billy), Duncan Clifford, Sarah McCray (John David III) and Ethan Clifford. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services (706 W Jefferson St, La Grange, KY 40031). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Resthaven Memorial Park (4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to North Oldham Little League in memory of Jack.
