He is survived by: his wife Connie Carter; his sons, John Matthew Carter (Julie Farman) and George Adam Carter (Jennifer Schulz); his stepsons, James David Buchanan (Sarah), Matthew Craig Buchanan and Aaron Michael Buchanan (Jamie); his grandchildren, Joshua Riley, Justin Nathaniel, John Cameron, Kaden Alexander Carter and Addison Taylor Carter; his stepgrandchildren, Neveah, Noah, Luke, Kate, Brady and Maddie Buchanan; his siblings, Brenda Carter Rupe (William Leslie) and Paul Wade Carter (Bonnie); Dr. A. L. Meacham. He is also survived by extended family, and numerous friends.
