He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Bates Brown (Thomas Estil Brown) and Bob. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Bruce Hamilton Brown; and his daughter Emily Bates Brown. He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in honor of Bob's memory to the community service non-profit in Louisville, OperaLex (operalex.org), La Casita Center (lacasitacenter.org), or public television in the Commonwealth, KET (ket.org).
