She is survived by: her husband Edward Nichter; her sons, Edward Nichter Jr. and Shaun Nichter (Ellen); her father John Spencer; her granddaughters, Lola Nichter and Ruby Nichter; her siblings, Tony Spencer and Angela Sewell; her sister-in-law Mary Nichter; her niece Linna Sewell; and her nephew Clint Sewell.

Memorial donations in Sandra's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
