He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Rankin Byrne (Norman), Katherine Rankin Syroney (Jeffrey) and Sara Courtice Knapke; his grandchildren, Griffin, Linden Byrne, Oscar, Ivy Syroney, Noah, Mia and Owen Knapke; his son-in-law Douglas Knapke; his siblings-in-law, Jimmie Rankin, Cheryl Rankin Van Stockum, Joseph and Ellen Creaghead; and his close friend Carolyn Mifflin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Lakeside Presbyterian Church.
