She was predeceased by: her husband Foster Taylor Young; her parents, Russell Sage and Mary Ed Simpson Coy; and her stepson Sam Young. She is survived by: her son Brown Young of Lancaster; her stepchildren, Jonny Young of Florida, Eddie Young of Mackville and Patty Short of Lexington; and her grandchildren, Caleb Young, Cody Young, Emily Kelty, Andrea Young, Jimmy Young, Tommy Young, Andy Short and Lynn Short. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
