He was predeceased by: his parents, William Green Taylor Bottoms and Mary Frances Bottoms (Bottoms); and his siblings, J. T. Bottoms, Robert Bottoms, Walter Bottoms, William "Billy" Bottoms, Neil Bottoms and Barbara Steele.
He is survived by: his children, Twana Lane Dean (Terry) of Harrodsburg, Deena Miller (Charles) of Crab Orchard, Darrell Bottoms (Karen) of Harrodsburg and Steven Bottoms of Harrodsburg; and his siblings, Wandola Cheatham (Butch) of Harrodsburg and Wathan Bottoms (Carolyn) of Lancaster. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
