He was predeceased by: his parents, Nimrod Showalter and Mary Elizabeth Showalter (Wheat); his brother Thomas Finnell; and his brother-in-law Julian Palmer. He is survived by: his sisters, Patsy Jasper (John) of Lexington, KY, Judy Palmer-Williams (Charles) of Lexington, KY and Donna Hendricks (Kenny); and his nieces and nephews, Keith Palmer, Gina Palmer-Clements, Jaime Clarkson, Christy Surbaugh, Jenny Jasper and Stefan Ray.
