He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Simpson Boatley and Wallace Warren; his grandparents, Dolly and Jake Penson; and his siblings, Sylvester, Richard Allen, Jerry Walker, Curtis Wayne, Janet, Mary Ellen, Shelia Faye, Virginia Lee and Ellis Dean.
He is survived by: his sisters, Brenda Thornton (Earl) and Shelby Strode (Robert "R. A."); his aunt Lena Johnson; and his uncles, James Simpson and Walter Simpson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great, great-great nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.
