He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Edgington Carman; his children, Sheila Marie Carman Napier (late Earl Napier) of Lancaster, James Gregory Carman (Vickie) of Lancaster and Douglas Carey Carman (Stacey) of Junction City; his grandchildren, Sydney Thomas Napier (Jessica), Devin Janearl Henslee (Aaron), Evelyn Grace Carman, Ezra James Lynn and Elan Kenley Carman; his great grandchildren, Kylee Elizabeth Collins, Jaydon Trent Collins and Caroline Marie Henslee; his brother Vincent Carey Carman (Jeanie); his nieces, Gina Epperson (David) and Carrie Reeder (James); and his extended family Betty.
