He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Layne and Bertha Stephens Layne; his wife Violet Daniel Layne; and his sister Claudine Crum. He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Layne of Maytown, Kentucky and Melissa Brown (Mitchell) of Buffalo, Kentucky; and his sisters, Kaye Hicks of Maytown and Leonna Sayre of Floyd Knobs, Indiana. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren.
