He was predeceased by: his son James "Ricky" Rudde, Jr.; and his sister Mary Lynn Moses. He is survived by: his wife Betty Rudde; his sons, Ernest Rudde (Valarie) and Christopher (Michelle McDaniel); his siblings, Stella Lanhan (Jimmy), Shirley Pinkerton (Wayne), Bobbie Rudde, John Rudde, Jr. and Ralph Rudde; his grandchildren, Whitney Hagedorn, Kayla Rudde, Brandon Rudde and Jessie Rudde; and his great grandchildren, Amia and JosieRae. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Connley Brothers Funeral Home (11 E Southern Ave, Covington, KY 41015). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
