He was predeceased by : his parents, William Chester Barnett and Rose Kate Barker Barnett; and his siblings, Marvin Barnett and Shirley Grigsby. He is survived by : his wife Hedy Shouse Barnett; his children, Glenda Gay of Lawrenceburg, Libby Ann Goodlett (Drew) of Lawrenceburg and Lowell Wayne Barnett of Lawrenceburg; his grandchildren, Taylor Westerfield (Casie), Brent Campbell and Dawn Cheek (Don); his great grandchildren, Cory Doss and Brey Gorrell; and his sisters, Mary Bell Welch of Frankfort and Linda Joe Coulter of Bloomfield.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 22nd 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home (701 N Main St, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
