The passing of James W. McMurry of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 17, 2025 at the age of 80. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clellan McMurry and Evelyn Houchin McMurry; his son-in-law Jim Luttrell; and his granddaughter Faith Luttrell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sparrow McMurry; his children, Doug McMurry (Nancy) of Danville, Missy Luttrell of Frankfort and Stephen McMurry (Kelley) of Versailles; his adoptive father Scott Joslin; his grandchildren, Kellie Jones (Cory), Clellan McMurry (Lane), Russell Luttrell, Jensen McMurry and Travis McMurry; his great grandchild Caroline Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Bryant, Allen Sparrow (Beverly) and David Sparrow (Michael). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, a cousin, and a host of great friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (300 S Main St, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342).
