He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin David Smith and Silva Plowman Smith; and his siblings, William Bill Smith, Dorothy Hollingsworth, Sarah Taylor and Gladys Rheinheimer.
He is survived by: his son Ronald D. Smith Jr.; his nephew William M. Smith Jr. (Leslie); his niece Pat Montgomery (Steve); and his close friend Jerry Flora (Becky). He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Son Funeral Home (332 S Main St, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
