He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel W. Morris III and Dorothy Jean Garrison Morris; and his brother Ellis Morris. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Mattingly Morris; his children, Brett Morris (Anna), Kelly Morris Edney (Chris) and Christopher Morris (Alexandra); his grandchildren, Savannah, Luca, Sam, Sadie, Avery, Madilyn and Aiden; and his sister Lou Etta Hicks (David) of St. Petersburg, Florida..
A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Son Funeral Home (332 S Main St, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 6:30 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
