Steve Bowen Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Steve Bowen of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Steve, born on January 12, 1950, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frank "J. F." Bowen, Jr. and Nila Mae Darnell Bowen; his brothers, James Frank "Jimmy" Bowen, III and Jackie Curtis Bowen; and his nephew Jeremy Lee Bowen.

He is survived by: his wife Janie Lou Buntain Bowen; and his nieces and nephews, Curt Bowen (Melody Bland), Travis Bowen (Lisa), Sherry Bowen Hahn (Lee) and Julie Bowen Baker (Bill). He is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home (701 N Main St, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Steve are suggested to Camp Calvary, 475 Camp Calvary Lane, Mackville, KY 40040.
