He was predeceased by : his parents, James Walter Etherton, Sr. and Lena Mae Raley Etherton; and his siblings, Mary Lillian Woods, Bobby Etherton, Ruby Lee of Susie McCubbins, J. W, Jeanie Humphrey, Norman Etherton and Donnie Etherton.
He is survived by : his wife Beverly Lee Etherton; his children, Thomas Etherton and Scarlet Etherton; his siblings, Clifford Etherton (Barbara), Roy Etherton, Stanley Etherton (Bridgett), Beverly Thurman and Edna Simpson (Roger); his grandchildren, Audrey Brown (Roy), Alysse Flener (Jeremy), Alec Etherton, Tasha Bentley, Nolan Kilgore (Kelly) and Logan Kilgore; and his great grandchildren, June, Roy, Sadie Brown, Bryn Flener, Abby Smith, Averi Kilgore, Chandler Kilgore, Hailey Nalley and Easton Bentley.
